The church and hermitage of St Ishow (aka St Issui) at Partrishow occupies an idyllic, hillside setting to the north of Crickhowell. The fabric of the church dates from the 11th-15th centuries and there is a font of around 1055. The original hermitage, pre- & post-Reformation wall paintings, a beautifully carved rood screen and a preaching cross outside are all good reasons to visit this beautiful building. The image is based on a photograph taken on a sunny, late spring day. The items on the south-facing windowsill are artworks depicting the eponymous saint.
